Overview
The SMSL SU-1 is a compact digital-to-analogue converter built around an AKM AK4493S DAC chip and an XMOS XU316 USB interface. USB playback supports PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz and DSD512.
USB, optical and coaxial digital inputs support compatible audio sources, with MQA and MQA-CD decoding available. The CK-03 clock circuit manages timing, while USB power filtering and a CNC-machined aluminium-alloy enclosure complete the design.
