Overview
The SMSL VMV D1se is a desktop digital-to-analog converter built around an ESS ES9038PRO chip. It accepts music from USB, I²S, coaxial, optical and Bluetooth sources.
Bluetooth 5.0 adds wireless input, while the XMOS XU216 USB processor supports high-resolution files. The source lists PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz, DSD512 and MQA decoding. A CNC-machined aluminum body, display and remote control support desk use.
